I know that air suspensions aren't entirely illegal because I mulled putting one on my Mustang to lower the ride height, handle better, and lower the rear-end down for the launch and I'm pretty sure there have been other cars with similar setups going to the track...

The aftermarket valance on my truck has 4.5" of clearence so I imagine even with the bumper moved up the 1.5" for a total of 3.5" it would be tough. Not saying it wouldn't be very drivable, but you would have to watch those inclines. I think my tranny crossmember hangs down to the 3.5" mark and I have only scrapped in on speed bumps a few times.

See how much it will cost to have it sectioned, I know it will look great on your truck. You wouldn't have to section it 2", maybe only an 1" after you shimmed it up.

It's tough to see the pics, but I think it would look cool layin low like that...unfortunately, daily driveability would be nearly impossible unless you bagged it though Sounds like you already know the solutions (section or bag), just have to decide which way to go with it The blue one that TWANKYDEUCE posted looks sweet layin low like that.

WIth a 5/6 link in the rear I would think it would be quite stable.
