Denali bumper + 4/6 drop = head + brick wall
So I've been collecting parts to do the Denali grille/bumper on my Sierra for about 4 years now. I'd buy pieces as I found a good deal on them...the last major piece that I needed was the impact bar, and I got it in November at Turkey Rod Run. Well, I've been messing so much w/ the motor and racing the truck that I never took the time to test fit it until tonight.
I don't think this is going to work.
There's only 2" of clearance from the lowest point of the bumper to the ground, and only 1.5" or so between the grille and the bumper cover. Even if I could shim it all the way up, I'd only have 3.5" of ground clearance, and I'm pretty sure that's not even enough to clear a speed bump.
And believe it or not, I think that the Denali stuff weighs MORE than the Sierra parts. Don't ask me how, but it does. I might break the scale out tomorrow and confirm my suspicions.
Here are some crappy pics that I took as the sun was going down. I'm going to try to get some better shots tomorrow after work.
Any ideas, suggestions?

Yes they do hang down a decent amount more then the regular sierra. Damn that is close to the ground. Watch out for bugs crossing the road you will scoop them up..... Why is there such a big gap between the grill and bumper cover? or is that just becuase you were just test fitting it?

That's before I bolted it down. I can shim it about 1.5" up, but that's about it. My dad is off on the passenger side pushing in and up on the bumper and these pics are about all the adjustment that I think I can get out of it.
Anyone wanna buy a Denali setup on the cheap?
