Detailed my truck. Before and after pics.
I detailed my truck over the weekend using my new Porter Cable 7336 and Menzerna polishes. Like most vehicles my truck had quite a few spiderweb/cobweb swirls that were likely the result of the previous owner's improper washing/drying technique. My goal was not to make the finish perfect but to remove as many of the defects as I could safely remove. This was my first time using a PC so I took my time and worked slowly. My process was as follows:
Exterior:
Wash with Meguiars NXT wash using the two bucket method and eurow wash mitt.
Clay using Blue Magic claybar and lube.
Menzerna Intensive Polish via PC using an orange Lake Country CCS pad at speed 5
Menzerna Final Polish 2 via PC using a white Lake Country CCS pad at speed 5
Meguairs #7 show car glaze by hand
Meguiars NXT sealent via PC using a red Lake Country pad at speed 3
Meguiars Hot Shine spray tire dressing applied with Eagle One tire wipe
NXT glass cleaner on all glass
Interior:
Vaccum
NXT tech protectant on dash/door panels
Fender before:
After:
Hood before:
After:
Reflection shot:
Shot of the whole truck:
It isn't perfect but the finish looks a lot better. I'm pretty happy with my current #7/NXT combo but I use it mostly because its available OTC. In the future I would like to try another sealent like Blackfire or Menzerna FMJ and see what the difference is on my truck. Comments and/or suggestions welcome.

Thanks, I'm pretty happy with the results especially since it was my first time using a PC.
I've since finished washing the wheel wells and I'll be blacking them out tomorrow.

How did you like the CCS pads?

I like the CCS pads a lot, the worked great for me. To be fair I've never used any other pads so I may not be the best person to ask.

I highly recommend that anyone considering buying a PC do it. The results speak for themselves.
