I have the seat all the way back most of the time. Kinda nice having a personal massage every day. They beat the hell out of the back of the seat, but If I move the seat up a little, I really get the full effect. One advantage is you have to take the seats out to even move the box, so no cracked out **** can break in and get them a free sub box.

The w6's require very little airspace, some of the smallest I have seen for any subs, I had 3 10w6's in a single cab with 1000 watts to them and they handled it easily. And talk about loud, way louder than the 10L7 I had and it sounded 10 times cleaner. The 12's would do well with 700-800 watts. Try a RF bd1001. That should be good for those 2 w6's, they have dual 6 ohm voice coils so you wont be putting the 1000 watts that the amp is rated at, it would be a few hundred watts less. Build your own box it is simple, use one box with 2 sealed chambers.

Given adequate power, the L7s will absolutely get louder than the W6V2s provided both are in the type of enclosure. Either can be made to sound very resepctable though. It all depends what you are looking for. If are looking sq, then I would recommend to go with a single JL 10 W6v.2 in a ported box. The only thing I don't like about JL is their products are very overpriced. If you were not driving a reg cab, I would recommend you to get a an 12 ID-Max in a ported enclosure.
