I can take a pic of mine. I just tapped into the running light wire, so the DRL's operate normally (except I have an amber light). Turn signal is still just the outer light, but parking lights are both.

I used Silverstar bulbs, I'm not sure if that is the difference or not.

for some reason i could not get my turn signal socket to fit where the drl socket fits, i have an 06 GMC, the tabs are different, but maybe i'm missing something here, aren't the sockets you bought the same as the turn signals?

Yes, they're the same socket. I'm not sure why some people have trouble getting them to fit while others don't. Do you have stock or clear corners?

Only thing I can suggest is trying it a couple of different ways to see if you can get the tabs to align.

I tried this for the hell of it last night. My turn signal socket fit snug before the stop hit the post on the back of the light. If I turned it so the stop hit the post, then the socket was loose. May have to just rig it in there.

Why did you cut off the DRL socket? Couldn't you just take the bulb out, seal up the scoket, and leave it back there unused?

I guess you could do that if you wanted to. I just wanted to remove it all together to make it a little less cluttered back there.

I took the bulb out of mine and then taped the crap outta the sockets and zip tied em back there. The sockets DO NOT fit perfect and the they will not click on the tab....you just have to find a good spot where they are nice and tight and leave them there or you can snap the tab off and superglue it in a new spot like i did. To get the socket into the light is a bit hard you have to kind of put the tabs in at an angle then snap the last one in.
