Default drop leaf springs or shackles and hangers?

i currently have lowering leaf springs that lowered my truck about 3" in the back. it rides kind of bouncy but not too bad. i was just wondering if shackles and hangers would make for a better ride and also maybe lower it a true 4". also how much can i get the hotchkis leaf springs for now. have they gone down in price anymore?

I'd have to say go with hangars and shackles. I've heard too many issues with springs whether it be squeaking or the ride. As far as getting these trucks to sit JUST right, it can be tough. Really depends if you just want to go 4" or if you're trying to actually perfectly level it.

I have hangers and shackles on a reg cab long box with Z85(blue) shocks. It is somewhat stiff in the back. Rides great when hauling even light loads like 250lbs of bags of fertilize. Probably needs better shocks. I did get 4" of drop.

yea maybe the main reason it sits at 3" is because i have a roll pan and not spare tire. that is a lot of weight at the the back of the tuck that isnt there anymore.i will think about shackles and hangers next though.
