A few Questions on a 4/6 Drop
I have an 03 ECSB that looks like a 4x4 right now and that needs to be remedied. I decided on a 4/6 because I had one on my last truck and loved it, low enough to look good but high enough I could still get around. Anyway, the truck is currently sitting on Tahoe rims with 275/55/20s. My question is, how bad am I going to rub on the inner fenders? Also what are the best solutions to modifying the inner fenders to solve any rubbing issues?

i dont know how much ground clearance you had on your 96 but on 99-06s with a 4-6 drop, ground clearance is minimal depending on tires you use. my 08 has lots of ground clearance in comparison. my 01 would hit here and there on some speed bumps, etc. 99-06s have a 3 inch rake from the factory so a 4-6 drop will leave it at a 1 inch rake. if you are gonna use them 275 55 20s a 4-6 will probably rub on the fenders. i am assuming you have a leveling or lift kit in front, unsure of rear. if you can provide that info, it will be easier to help you out bud. feel free to pm me or text me with any ?s or info for quicker response as i dont always check on these sections on a daily basis. only classifieds i check daily. you will also get better mileage with drop as there will be less wind going underneath your truck.

best remedy? get a new tire. i ran a 265/50/20 nitto 420 on my 06 @ 4/6 when i had 20's....dont tear up and do rigging on your truck just to run a tire unless you just have to....

I will probably go with a smaller tire to be safe, I need them anyway but just hate buying them haha

You will never clear a 275/55/20 with a 4/6 drop.. I have heard of guys rubbing at 2/4.
I am at 7" in the back now and going to 4" in the front but here is pictures of my truck with a 3/6 and 275/45/20
