Hey guys, Im getting the factory foglight kit for my truck and i was wondering what bulb fits in them? Is it the 9006 or the 9005?

Im going to be upgrading the fogs and my high beams to 10k HID's

9005 fits in the fogs and the high beams. 9006 is for low beam only

its neither part# the right # is 9154 there 40w the 9006 are 55w,i think the 9005 would melt the housing, the high beams are not 40w

HID's shouldn't melt the housing regardless of bulb type. They do not emit nearly as much heat as regular halogen bulbs.

I just installed HID's in my Fog Lights 8K's to match my low beams, and let me tell you you just think reg. HID are bright until you turn your fogs on. the ballast where aggravating to mount but the kit turned out good.

if they are the 99-02 fogs . . . don't even bother . . . a mag light puts out more "functional" light
