Default front drop shocks

Hello all
Have a question on drop shocks...From previous threads it seems that DT nitros are the way to go. With that said are they also needed in front ?I put a 3 in shackle on the rear and am happy with the hieght just trying to get a smoother ride.Thanx for any input and or knowledge.
