depends on your truck
I have some trucks that did not need it
Mine needed it with 2" shackles
It depends on the frame
Frames are built inconsistent
really depends on your frame
I had a vib at 12 mph when I put shackles on !!

shims go in your leaf springs to help correct the driveshaft angle after you lower a truck. when you lower it drive it and if you feel a little shimmy in the drivetrain when you accelerate you will need them. i talked to truckperformance and they said that on just a 2/4 you shouldnt need the carrier bearing kit but like you guys said, every vehicle is different.

I have ECSB and installed 3 inch shackle drop and have no vibrations. But I would agree that every truck is different,

I had a viberation in mine before lowering it. Dealer told me some 99 they could not get all viberation out. When I lowered mine the viberation was bad and installed center bearing and no viberation on normal driving. I get it some time under hard starts but not often. It could use some more adjusting but I don't feel like doing it.

IF you got the Hotchkis kit, they are already mounted onto the leaf springs, and if you have an extended cab, there is also a shim for the transmission mount.
Don't know about others.
