Guys with spotless engine bays in here!!!
Ok, so what's your secret for a minted out engine bay? I have no oil or grime on my engine, I do however have a shitload of water spots and hazy wiring. Some of you guys it looks like you take every individual part, polished it, and assembled with angel hands. I am envious of your engine bays. C'mon, share........ discuss

I used to use simple green to keep it clean, but now I just spray mine with tire foam. Let it sit a little while and wipe off the excess. Stays clean and looks new. If I get some grime, I just break out the simple green. No polishing for me, I cant keep up with the chrome on my bike much less under the hood of my truck.

One of these days when you're not looking I'm going to take your truck out mudding, bring it back and park it on your driveway. You'll come out and mud pies will be dripping from your fenders, the engine bay will be caked with dried up and burnt mud, there will be dings from flying rocks everywhere and on top of that I'll leave a note saying I slammed the doors.
PS. Don't forget to check your bed rug for my muddy boots.

I am interested in this topic too, it seems like my engine bay is always a little dirty.

My engine bay isn't spotless, but I keep it clean with simple green and a garden hose. I use a scrub brush on the plastic covers and wrap the alternator and PCM with plastic bags. The plastic covers and Volant get dried off with a soft towel while other areas get carefully hit with compressed air, trying to keep the splatter off of the fenders, windshield, etc. If I have any oil or grime build up, I'll hit that with some brakleen and compressed air first before washing.
