Hankook Ventus ST R06???
Anybody using this tire? I am weighing the different tires, Toyo Proxes ST, Yokohama AVS ST, or this Hankook, any others out there that I might look at. I like the Hankook cause they offer a 275-55-17, as opposed to the 275-60-17s of the others. Just wondered if they are a good tire or not.

I've heard nothing good about Hankooks. My friends has some and he hates them - noisy, difficult to balance, etc. Given your choices, I would go with the Proxes first, then the Yokohamas.

curtis, look at the general grabber UHP, quite a few of people have started to use them and they seem to work really good, I think goshawk23 is one of them and he gives very good reviews about them...
I am considering in going with this tire too...

General Grabber UHP. thats the other one I was wanting to look into. Couldn't remember the name. Yeah, I had the Yokohama AVS ST's on my last one and liked them alot, great wet traction, but they didn't last for **** for miles. Of course I'm sure all the track burnouts didn't help much either.

Well, I am sold on the General Grabber UHP's. Let me ask all tire guru's, is there a problem with running different sized tires front to rear. They offer these tires in 275-55-17 and 275-60-17. If I run all the same size, I will use a 275-55, but I'm thinking about running the 55's up front and the 60's in the rear. When you set up the speedo setting in the tune, is this based off of the rears/fronts/ or both? Just wondering if there was any disadvantage to running odd sized tires front and rear?
