Default Hard water spots and blotchy areas

I washed and dried the truck, but some water still drips down from under the areas I can't get to and causes hard water spots. The water is harder than normal here.

I use Meguiar's quick detailer, and it removes some, but seems to leave blotchy areas on the paint that won't wipe off. I use a microfiber towel. Is there any other product I should use? Or any other suggestions? Thanks for any help. Sorry for the large pic; I couldn't figure out how to resize it.

I tried it a few days ago and it does help with the water spots. I was hoping there was something easier though that I could just spray on and wipe off.

The clay bar did not help with the blotchy areas. I was reading another forum and a guy had a similar problem. It turns out he didn't let the wax dry long enough or something when he waxed it. Maybe that's what happened to me, but the blotches didn't show up until I used the quick detailer.

I always had luck using a cleaner/wax on water spots and blotches from leftover spots.

first off to avoid those dripping spots you might want to get yourself an air compressor or pretty much anything that can blow a decent amount of air. (leaf blower if you have to ) this will deff. help on drying those tough spots were water always drops. second of all you could try a different products like adams detail spray or adams waterless wash to get those spots out. you should also post up a detailed list of how you wash your vehicle step by step and then it will be easier to pin point some problems.

Thanks for the ideas guys. I'm not really big into detailing, but the blotchy areas are annoying me. I usually just use a bucket and microfiber sponge to wash and then a chamois to dry. If I'm in a hurry, I'll just go to the car wash and spray wash it then chamois dry it. I'll definitely try a different brand of quick detailer spray next time.

Are you using any kind of wax or sealant for protection on a regular basis? Reason I ask is that hazy area almost looks like oxidation, in which case you'd need to polish the area to remove the spot.

That would also take care of the water spots as well.
