ive got a 99 silverado with 2in drop shackles in rear. what should i go with 45s or 55s ,x-tra cab short bed . need to know quick gonna put one or the other on tonight.

depends on how much you want it to slow you down. neither will rub, but 45's are stock height and 55's are taller by about an inch. but more rotational mass also. go with 55's if you want to fill that fender gap.

Any plans to lower it more? If not, go with the 55s. If you plan to lower more, definitely the 45s.

If you're gonna lower it more then go with the 45's. If you're gonna keep it as is I'd suggest 285/50's. They're a little almost 1 in. shorter than the 275/55's and a little wider. Here's a pic for reference with 285/50's and shackles:



*Edit: didn't see you were going to put them on tonight. I'd definitely say the 45's then.

When I read it I was thinking differently. I read the 275/55, but I was thinking 285/50. If those are your only options, 275/45/20.
