Default HID ballast mounting tape

A friend and I recently purchased HID kits from DDM Tuning. Their kits come with double sided tape to mount the ballasts. About a week after we had installed our kits, we both found our ballasts hanging by their wires. The tape provided is not automotive grade, don't use it.
Other than that, our HIDs work well. A great value for the money.

I have both raptor and the slims on my truck. Their tape sucks. I always use 3M double sided tape and clean the surface with rubbing alcohol.

I got the Raptor kit in 4500 and 55 watts for my high beams. My friend bought the Raptor in 35 watt 5000 low beams and 55 watt 6000 high beams.

My brother and I both have the Raptor kits and we have had the same problem. The sticky tape doesn't work for nothin. So we just zip tied them to the radiator support and they were fine. We've found that its the heat that won't let it stick.

I drilled a few holes in the plastic behind the lights and mounted the raptor ballasts with zip ties. They have not moved since January.
