Default HID replacement bulbs

I need to know what you guys think about this i need to get some Replacement bulbs for my HID kit should I get 5000k or 6000k?

5s are fine most kits with "normal" light output and not the ricer stuff is close to 5.

I like the 6K's myself, just a light tint of blue looks good IMO.

IM still not sure what I would like but I might get the 5000k since I want the more whiter light does anyone have any 6000k hid kit or so.

i have a 500k philips hid kit on my ss. they perform awesome, i think ir i remeber correct 5000k is just a bit above or just a bit under what sunlight is rated at. i was thinking of going with the 6000k when my bulbs go out but im really happy witht he 5000k and would probably buy them again!

4000K is stock halogen type lights, 5000k is I dunno lol,6000k Is "Super White", 8000K is a Blueish 7000K and above are illegal on the roads and are either yellow or green or some ****.

5000k is close to the look of BMW, Lexus, and most cars with OEM HID. 6000k has a nice, light blue tint. I have 5000k on my wifes Trailblazer and 6000k on my truck. It seems to me that the 6000k pick up reflective surfaces(road signs, lane paint) better. Just my 2 cents

That sounds cool man do you have any pics of your truck with the lights or maybe the trailblazer. pm me or something.

Here you go- 5000k on left(Trailblazer), 6000k on right(Truck)

HID headlight with halogen fog light- 9005 bulb


The 6000k don't look as blue from the drivers seat as the picture might suggest. They put out more of a white light with a blue hue. Hope these help
