Default HID's

Alright, i did a search looking for some answers, but could not find an answer to this question. If i replace my regular bulbs with some HID 5000kv's, will both the high and low bulbs be replaced, or is it just one bulb that will go into the headlight bezzel and run both high and low beams? Also, what are some good brands and places to buy these from. MANY THANKS.

You will need 1 pair of 9006 bulbs-low beam, and 1 pair of 9005 bulbs-high beam (or are all 4 of the Denali lights 9005 bulbs?), then 1 ballast with ignitor for each bulb(4 total). Try and use a quality set-up such as Phillips or Hella. Search around and you can find some good deals. Expect to pay $250-$300 for each set. Myself as well as others on this site have HID's, just do a search for previous threads.

Denalis need 9005 bulb low beams, despite the fact that the connectors are 9006. There is an adapter built into the lamp that swaps the connection so they are interchangeable w/ regular sierra headlights. IMO you should pull out the oe projectors and swap to another brand (some might even fit into the housing w/o much modification) and then put whatever hid bulb fits into the hid projector that you use. In this situation you will have a legal setup since hid projectors have the cutoff needed to make them legal, seperating a retrofit from a kit. Try a hid retrofit website for more info before you buy a kit on ebay or w.e.

Why would you swap the oe projecter?? It is made for and hid and works great. A lot of the aftermarket projecters will not except an hid kit. I have Denali oem projecters on my sierra with a hid conversion and it works great.
