HID's aren't very bright?
I bought a set of 6000K 35w Hid's and installed them in my Denali Projectors. They are the digital slim ballasts. They're not as bright as I think they should be. I've looked at just about every HID thread on here and all the pics look 3x brighter than mine. The only difference from stock bulbs is the color. I know projectors dim the light some, but I think they should still be brighter than they are. I'll try and get some night pics of the output on the road tommorow night. But does anyone have any ideas on why they could be dimmer? Maybe the digital ballast aren't as bright as the traditional thicker analog ballasts?

did they come with a harness and relay that gets power straight from the battery? i know some ballast pull alot of juice and your stock harness dont put out enough power to run them....

yea on most cars i install them on i use the extra harness...makes em warm up quicker and better power supply for them......i havnt heard anything good about the slim ballast. you might want to check around and see if u can just find the regular ballast, i bet thats your problem. I have 6ks in projecter housings and they are just as bright or brighter then my step moms acura tl hids....

really, it just depends on the quality of the kit. you shoudn't need to relay kit unless your lights dont power as as quick as your factory halogens do. being a slim ballast shouldn't affect the lumen output, but i have heard bad things about the longevity of the slims.
