HID's aren't very bright?

Have slim 4.3k on my DD and no problems here. I run a relay kit also.

i have the slim ballast with the harness and relay. 8k. bright as hell.

just got mine 6k with the slim ballasts,, they're pretty bright. good enough for me....

Mine are bright enough for me I guess, I just figured they'd be brighter.

+2,, they sure look a lot better than the stock headlights so w/e! lol

I think your problem with the brightness is do to your HID's being a 35watt kit and not a 55watt kit.

They are not on my truck, but I have a 55watt 6k kit with the slim ballast on my bike. They have been flawless.











Knock on wood.
Where is everyone buying theres at, I have been thinking of getting some for the truck.

What are you guys calling "slim ballasts"? I have had HID on my DD (both low beam and fogs) for over 2 years now without any issues. I'm using the stock wiring and from "cold turn on" to full bright is I'd say about 5 seconds.

edit: I did a google search and found the attached pic. Guess this is what you guys mean by "slim ballast"? I have the "standard" then...

I had 35w 6000Ks in my 01 and they were really really bright. That was regular ballasts.

I have 8000Ks for my four wheeler, with slim ballasts, but I havent installed them yet.
