HID's on a Sierra w/ Denali Headlamps

I have true HID's in my Yukon that has Denali projectors. The light output is fine. There is a nice clean cutoff that kicks up on the passenger side, like it should. The kick up is suppose to be there to light up street signs on the right. I'll post pics later.
Yes you could buy projectors from other cars and retrofit them to Denali housings and have perfect output,but that would cost mucho dinero, probably $400 per projector. Or you could get a quality 9005/9006 HID kit and have pretty damn good light output. Notice I said a QUALITY kit. Make sure it comes with a well known ballast like Hella, Phillips, Panasonic, or Sylvania/Osram.
BTW, the Denali headlights are designed to use 9005 bulbs, but will also fit 9006's, so either kit will work. I got mine from www.suvlights.com.

My buddy just put HID's in his Denali. No retrofit needed. Just buy the kit with the correct size bulb and you're good to go. Looks factory and only took 20 minutes to install.

I have the HID from Mecca Tune which uses either a Phillips ballast or a Hella ballast. I have used about 10 kits on different cars and have never had a problem with them. I would get somewhere between 4500k to 6000k unless you want something really blue.
In my Denali I have the 6000k and it even seems to be a little to blule for me but the light out put if perfect and I have done no retrofitting of my stock housing. I will get some pics tonight and post them so you can seem the light out put pattern.
