265/35-22 is about as big as you can run on truck with a 2/4.

Pulling the overload wont hurt anything
and maybe will get about .5 inch lower
The spring is an overload and works when overloading the suspension.
Mine has a 2/4 kit - and sits lower than I expected

What kind of ride are you looking for? I have the Hotchkis drop with the Edelbrock IAS shocks, 275/45/20 and I love it, handles great! But if you were to compare the ride to a caddy then it rides like ****, it's a very tight, stiff ride. With 22's it would look stock I think, but with my 20's you can tell it's lowered unless you're some nerdy, Ross from Friend's looking guy with glasses. I wouldn't ever think of going lower, but of course there's no accounting for taste

I test fit some 22X10 Boyd's on my truck w/ 295-35-22's. Took it around the block and drove it. I had no trouble with rubbing and had full turn lock-to-lock. Didn't hit any highway cruizing though, so there might have been some rubbing at higher speeds. Not sure on that.

I would say 22X9 w/ 265-35--22s and a 4/6 drop. Shouldn't have a problem.

Hey Scream, how was the ride, as far as comfort, with that test fit? What suspension components were you running?

DJM 4/6, just lowers (no uppers.) Ride was excellent!!! The slightly taller sidewall really made a difference!

And this was still with the iron block motor, so it was about 3/4" lower than it is now.

I have a ghetto ***, in-the-dark pic. I'll have to see if I can get it scanned in somehow.

Cool. Send me the raw, scanned in pic if you can and I'll try and touch it up and make it look better if it's really bad like you say
