Nice write up.
A lot of it isn't nearly as hard as people think it is. With a PC 7424 it's pretty much impossible to burn your paint unless you really are an idiot. As long as you take your time and use good lighting to tackle the problem areas it's not hard for a beginner to learn.
I prefer the Poorboys line. The majority of the scratches I have encountered have come out with some SSR1 and SSR2.5.
