I think Centerline sent me the wrong centercaps

Default I think Centerline sent me the wrong centercaps

I bought some archers and the center caps are different then any others that I have seen. The ones on their website are like little domes that says centerline wheels on them like alot of the stingray IIIs that I have seen, here is what I got

I really dont like the style of these Im wondering if they are for another wheel style. I only got 2 wheels Friday I guess the other two will show up Monday good ole UPS.

i think those are for the off-road style wheels if im not mistaken

Those are the centercaps for the Toyotas. Check and make sure the wheels you got are hub centric. You should have gotten a rounded centercap that's a little smaller.

I've been waiting almost 3 weeks for my Centerline Stingray III's to show up. I hope they don't send those center caps. I would think those aren't really the right ones. They look like the older center cap to fit the manual 4wd hubs. You should call Centerline tomorrow and tell them to send the correct ones out ASAP.

How do you check for them being hub centric? It took a little over 4 weeks to ship them out to me.

when you put the on the car without a center cap the hub and bore should be flush without any space(which is where hub rings would come in place for some cars)

Hub-centric means that the center of the wheel fits snugly exactly to the diameter of the hub and the load is carried that way, vs. the load being carried by/on the lug nuts. That may in fact be the wrong wheel, although only you will know that when you dummy-it up on the truck. My Centerlines are like everyone elses. I hope I'm wrong, but I'm leaning towards it being the wrong wheel. What size is the hub opening? I could measure mine and we can compare, as they are off of the truck right now anyway.

The measurements on the lug spacing are the same as my torque thrusts sitting in the garage along with the hub opening being the same with the same machined edge on it so I think the wheels are right they just sent me the wrong centercaps atleast on these two wheels maybe the other two will be right.



How do the centercaps come off? There was a little brass snap ring in there that I took off. Do they just pop out after that? I dont want to break them in case centerline wants them back. You can see the brass ring in this pic

Just grab one end of the ring with some pliers and pull it around and out. The center cap should pretty much fall out once you remove the ring.

Already pulled the ring out on the other wheel and the damn centercap wouldnt budge at all. The tabs on the center cap are still dug in hard on the lip in the center of the wheel.
