Default Just debadged by hand. Now what?

Okay I ended up doing it by hand. Now I've got a line where there's some buildup around the mouldings.

I've searched and apparently the way to go was to use a 3M eraser wheel.

I'm wondering if I should go buy one from napa and try to remove the rest of the line?

I got a electric waxer/buffer for Christmas. Do you guys think I could buff this out? I've never used the electric buffer so I'm not sure what compound to use. When people cut and buff what are they using? Should I try some 3M rubbing compound?

Something like this maybe?

If its residue from molding tape the thing that works best is your thumb and im not kidding!

Also you can use a rough terrycloth towel and goo - gone to rub it off.

Then take a wool pad on your buffer and some finish cut ( i use wizards Finish cut) compound and go over the areas that need it,

Then get a foam pad and use swirl remover ( i use wizards shine master or adams equivelent) This will get rid of all the scratches.

It might not be perfect when your done but it will be damn hard to tell depending on your color, mines black so you know that story but it worked well even after moldings were on 11 years.

This. I did my entire truck with my thumb and then used a little Goo Gone and bug and tar remover to get and residue left behind. Then do a clay bar and nice coat of wax to finish it up.

Pics when done?

Well I don't really have any great pictures. This is the only one I have and it's from when I just started the process.

I've already removed all the mouldings and the residue. I used my thumb for the most part. The problem is, there's still lines where the decals and mouldings were. I can still see a faint outline of the 4x4 sticker.

My truck is a 2000. So there's 12 year old paint under there. I'm just not sure what to use to get rid of that ridge of dirt. Or wax. Or whatever it is. It's not the backing tape though.

If you look closely, you can kind of see the lines in this picture.
