LED Turn Signals
I want to get LED turn signals and I am wondering if anyone knew of any that would fill the housing with light pretty well too instead of only projecting the beam out from the lights. I've got a 2000 and I think the bulb size is 3157 but i'm not quite sure. That and I was wondering if they made any 194 bulbs that projected light as well. Thanks.

They make LED's for the 3157 and the 194 but led's don't really project light the way regular bulbs do. If you put led's in the 3157 slots they will cause the turn signal to flash at a hyper rate... seems to me to be approximately double the usual rate. You have to buy a kit to install that will fix it. Seems the led's draw so little current that the system doesn't recognize them correctly.
I like the clear lens and I don't want the yellow bulb making the lens look yellow in the daytime so I use the led's and just let the signals blink hyper fast. I also use amber leds in the 194's. check the prices before you buy. Some places really jab you for the led's. I found that www.autoindulgence.com is about the cheapest place for Jam Straight bulbs.

i have led's all around.turn signals (front & rear), marker, and DRL. The ones I have point out straight, and also sort of ring around the outside to reflect of the housing. I got them off e-bay, send me a PM is you want to know the seller. Jim is right, they will make your blinkers blink in "hyper" mode UNLESS you have them in all of your sockets, or get the fix kit. When i had led's ONLY in the front I had this problem, but when i bought a pair for my tail lights as well it seemed to even it out and now they blink normally.

You could also try Sylvania Silverstars...the bulb is not yellow until it's lit.
Here's mine in the daytime:
And a pic of them illuminated:
Here's how I made the DRL light a blinker:

What led do you use in the drl.... a 3157 led? Where can I find a really bright white bulb for the 3157 socket? I got a piaa and when it came it had blue glass which screwed up the clear look for daytime. I wanted a really bright white turn/park lamp. Now I'm back to the normal clear 3157 reg bulb which shows kinda yellow/white when it's lit. I want a bright white when lit that won't look blue in the reflectors when it''s not lit.

Yea, the DRL's and turns are the same thing. Heres what mine look like during the day. They are white when they are lit up as well, The bottom lense is a little fogged in this pic, im not too sure how the led's reflect off of the chrome background.
