dont mean to jack the thread but is it better to weld in a roll pan and if so what is a good brand of roll pan?

I wouldnt weld in a roll pan unless its a show truck. My buddy has a 88 chevy rcss on abags all the goodies and his roll pan is molded in and its starting to crack at the edges of the tailgate. If it was welded in I would think you might have problems but as long as you take it easy on unlevel surfaces you would probably be fine. I like the way a welded in roll pan looks better than just a bolt on though.

mines welded in and havent had any problems so far. i drive like a bat outta hell also and my truck is dropped. but i think the quality you put into it makes the difference if i it lasts or not.

Thanks! My last truck was "Envy," so I named this one "Denial." You can kinda see the chopped up Envoy emblem in this pic of my old Sonoma.
