you can get away with out notching the frame but it will bottom out at 4" on a decent bump and smaller bumps if you haul/tow something, if your not going to notch take off the stock bump stops and install the small button head type
some are ok with this some are not its all about what your willing to put up with, i just notch

This thread is a walking zombie back from the dead LOL!
22x9.5 et 18 on 275/35r22 front and 285/35r22 rear. These tires run on the large side. I’ve had 4 sets of 22’s on two different lowered nbs Sierras.. probably had over 20 different sets of 22” tires over the years. So if you need any suggestions on what fits, just ask. This picture is On coilovers. Tape measure says it’s about a 4.5” / 7” drop. This setup needs a good amount of fender massaging and centering the axle under the bed perfectly. The rear fender lips rub the sidewalls of the tires when I have over 2000 lbs in the bed and the helper bags are struggling. Front fenders have the outer portion of the wheel wells cut out and the fender lips rolled and pulled out slightly. If you dont do anything with the front fenders, it will rub with the offset & width I have. You can’t notice the fender work just by looking at it. But people do notice the bigger tires. .
Did I mention the 285/35 rides far better than a 265/35?
