lowering problem?
i'm not too sure if this should be posted here or somewhere else. but im currently having problems with my drop kit. I did a djm flip kit with 4'' lower control arms. its on a 2000 extended cab with 20's. sits 4-6 like its suppose to. i wanna go lower so i tried 3'' shackles and it looked awesome for the back. rode around the block and noticed the bed hit the top of the rear end on some bumps. I jacked up the truck to see how i could fix this problem and noticed my drive shaft was rubbing against one of the supports that runs across the frame. My shaft is currently eaten up pretty bad but still in tact. my question is has anyone else had this problem? what can i do to fix it? i'll try and get some pics posted to help yall see what i'm talking about. also does anyone have pics of the bed frame above the rear end notched?

first off, i would fix ur pinion angle. that will probably give u a little more room, never the less, ur gonna have to notch that brace if u wanna stay that low. do u have the axle saddles facing the correct way?? i thought they were supposed to keep the pinion angle in check

well it took bout half a year but somehow my rearend tilted up a bit. then it started rubbing on the back crossmember under the cab, then it snapped the driveshaft in half..i have a one piece alumminum 7ft shaft. Somehow my ubolts for the axle were too long too tighten all the way up, so i welded in some wedges to keep everything in place...so be careful

yes the truck does have a 2 piece drive shaft. i'm pretty sure the saddles are sitting corretly, but just in case i'll double check on that. i'll post up a pic of how it sits as of now. also by notching the cross member would i have to worry about it breaking or giving in?
