Meguiars Headlight Restoration Kit - 2004 Stepside
My headlights have been pretty nasty since I bought the truck, and I have an HID kit I have been wanting to install but wanted to clean up the headlights first. I know there are quite a few of these products on the market, however I have used Meguiars products in the past and have always been very pleased so I decided to use them for this as well.
I purchased the Meguiars headlight restoration kit for $19.99.
Driver And Passenger side Headlights Before. They were very Cloudy and Yellowish. Kind of hard to see in the pictures, but they are very hazy.
Here are the AFTER pictures. The pictures are OK but do not really do them justice. They look very nice in person and this made a huge difference on the headlights. For $20.00 and a little bit of time you really can't go wrong

The Megs kit is a good idea and it works great but in as little as 3 to 6 months you might expect some of the hazing and discoloration to come back. The UV light from the sun and road blasting is what is causing this discoloration. I Restore headlights profesionally and the PlastX does have some UV protectant in in but it isn't a permanent fix. What I do is sand the lights down, Buff them back out to clear again and apply a urethane UV sealer back over them. For $40.00, Most people don't complain ind their lights look like brand new again and they don't have to replace them all together.
