Default mirror caps

my dads work truck has the black sided mirror caps and the one in my sig has the crome. i wanted to swap em, b/c i like the black better. is there a way you can just pop them off, or do you need to take off the whole mirror assembly?

Default Swap em

They are probably held on with double stick tape and you would bend them up trying to get them off. I would just swap them out. 3 bolts on each mirror accessed from the inside after popping the triangular molding off. Easy!
