My fender's were widened one inch using this method. It's barely noticeable, I've actually never had anyone ask me about it. If done right and not widened too much it will look basically stock. I can tuck 315's in the back.

There really isn't much to see as it's subtle to the naked eye, unless you look in the wheel well that is...

I've done this on countless offroad prerunners. If you only need a little more clearance do it like Spoolin's above and it turns out okay. If you need more on a street truck I prefer custom wheels with a different offset to bring the tire in and run a wide tire properly on a correct width rim. You've got a decent amount of room before you hit the leafs.
