Default My Burban Project

Here are a couple pics of my 1996 Suburban k2500. It's just getting started, but I have big plans for paint and interior that should be completed in the next couple of months.

Update on the burban...I just finished the audio, or should I say almost finished the audio. The Polk Audio MOMO series components have all been installed with a JBL 4-channel speaker amp. I used a marine amp because it sits under my front passenger seat and I don't want water from peoples' shoes shorting my amp. My two Kicker L7's are now pushed by the new JL Audio G-MAX amp, and they hit hard! Everything runs into a Pioneer DEH-7800 head unit with an iPod hookup and Sirius radio, but I am already thinking about swapping it out for the Pioneer AVIC-N5 unit. I have one Optima yellowtop under the hood right now and have a second one sitting in my garage. I just haven't put the driver's side tray in yet. After that, all I need is to do is lay my Dynamat! I'll keep you guys posted with any more updates.

I need your opinions. Should I throw on a four inch Rancho lift or should I install a Ford Dana 60 from a 1979 1 ton? Either way, I want to run a set of 305/70/17 Nittos, which are 33.5" tall.

depends on how you use your truck.. If you off road with it a lot, I swap in the DANA 60.. If its going to be a pavement queen, go with the Rancho lift. Nice rig btw! I'm digging the front bumper!!

Thanks a lot. It'll be off road a few times a year, but won't ever be driven real hard in the dirt. It's my daily driver, so I'd definitely like to keep it in nice condition. I' thinking the Rancho lift might be the way to go...

So I got little bored the other day when i got home from camping and decided that the running boards that came on the burban needed to go. Here's what it looked like before...
