My New SS!!-56k good luck
I was on the Power Tour this week from Cleveland-Kalamazoo-Racine, and in Kzoo they had all the GM Performance vehicles inside cuz of the rain. Well I went up to one of the GM guys a ask how much it would cost for me to sit in the 427SS concept truck and we walked right over and he reach under the drivers door and hit the pop lock and said "nothing, get in"!!! I about lost it in my pants!!! Check it out. There is also a video of them starting it....the video will take a minute to load even with a T1 connection...

So then I went on and said "How much to drive it to Racine tomorrow" and he just laughed at me. We went on bullshittin' for a while and he said after this year they will keep one truck in a warehouse and most likely disassemble the rest. I wanted to cry! I said why dont they auction them off or something, Im sure a lot of people want them...his response was that it would be illegal to sell a vehicle with no vin number on it....good point i guess, but still a bummer....

as for the production - the guy told me there was plan for it but not with the 427 in it...it was looking more like the 6.2L which isnt a bad option but I WANT THE 427...
here were a few more from the HRPT...
Dale Jr's bad *** rig
this was an interesting truck

thats what i told the guy...
but i will say one thing i didnt like about it as i was sitting inside is the shifter....very tall (which could be fixed) and very loose - not tight like the f-bodies or a GTO 6-speed....

yeah in person it was sick!!! and the funny part about it really i thought is that it had stock exhaust manifolds on it, so it must have had a nice custom cat back....when they fired it up i was in amazement!!! wish i had more video of it too
