over the past month the Tahoe has gotten some replacement parts and this past week. finally upgrades.
Installed a 4l65E trans last month. This week, Rancho Front shocks, Rough Country Torsion keys/leveling keys, and a 1.5" rear coil spacers from Summit. and finally some nitto terra grappler tires (285/70r17). From the ground to the fender the truck now sits at 39" on all 4 corners. rides nice and smooth and the tires arent loud at all. got everything on just in time for the snow and crap to hit us tonight. Billet grill. black painted emblem, black headlights/turn signals
near future mods: remove clutch fan and install some LS1 fbody fans. 160* t-stat. reduce tq management by 80%, and replace the front bumper. Fab a cold air intake. and possibly an electric cutout.
now for the before and after pics:
Before (when i bought the truck 3 years ago):

agreed. i like the tires to fit the wheel house without the body being too tall from them. i highly dislike the body being raised so high the tires arent at least 1/4 inside the house.

have to keep the board because its the family vehicle. wife and kids would be pissed if they cant get in it.
ill probably swap them for the z71 nerf bars though.
the vent gaurds were my idea so i can have the windows cracked open on rainy/snowy days. (i just cant be "sealed" in a car. i always have to have a window open)
