I don't want to jinx myself but my driving habits have not changed much and I keep making my truck faster and I have not once been pulled over in my silver truck. My 97 that was bright red would get pulled over if I so much as revved the motor from a stop light.

Wow, I didn't realize there were so many red haters up in here.
I drive very 'spirited' when the wife is around, and like a maniac when she's not. Been driving mine over 4 years...no tickets or wrecks.
Do it. Red is straight-up sexy. The comments about the paint being expensive are definitely true, though. Color-matching with Victory Red is pricey, but when it's done it looks

I'm not worried about how much that paint cost. Iv already got a quote for the job ha ha. It'll only be a few weeks before he gets started on it. Ordered my hood, mirrors and handles ordered yesterday! I'll start a project thread with before and after pics too! I also live in a town with a population of around1500 and there's like 4 cops here. Friends with 2 of em so I'm not to worried with that lol

^^ ditto.
To each his own. Your truck, your money. Do what makes YOU happy. Red is awesome IMO. I'm in the process of painting a Pewter colored truck to a BMW Melbourne Red. Pics in my build thread (link below).
