Default Need pics of a truck with 22s with 35 series tire

I've got a truck with a 2/4 drop and ima be buying some 22s for it but I hear the tires will rub bad with a 40 series tire so I'm trying to see if a 35 series tire will look good with the drop or will it look too skinny. Please post up any pics, thanks fellas

I have ran both, a 285/35R22 and 305/35R22. I wouldnt go back to the 305's, they rubbed too much. Here are Nitto 285/35/22's.

So do you think a 285/40 would work? So what your saying is its not necessarily the height of the tire as much as it is the width of the tire?

I have 305/40/22 and they were on a 2/4 drop truck before and rubbed bad enough to make a wear spot on parts of tire but man they looked awesome

It's going to have alot to do with the bs of the rim. If you get the 35s, I can see you starting a thread a week later titled "hit pot hole, broke rims.."

I think a 285/40 is too tall. I would say a 265/40 is probably better. On a 2/4 drop, I would not go much over a 30" tall tire.

Is a 265 tire going to fit a 9.5" wide rim?

Yes, my brother has 265/40 Goodyears on his 22x10's Foose Speedster 6's. Max width on a 265 tire is a 10.5" rim.
