Default New overhead console!! w/gauges

So, I picked up an overhead console about a year ago from a guy on ls1truck super cheap. I finally got it installed today

I wanted some gauges in the pocket but didnt feel like spending $120 on a SoCal pod. So... I talked with a local buddy who builds custom gauge pods out of ABS plastic and gave him the console to work with.
I told him I wanted to put 2 gauges in the pocket and have them turned towards the driver more than the SoCal one.

Well after a few months of him making some different designs he finally made a finished product and already sold a couple prototypes at SAR this past weekend.

Im sure he will chime in and i think he is also working with the moderators so he can sell these gauge pods for less than half the price of the SoCal pod.

My truck is an 02 so it needed some research and a mounting bracket before install. I think i maybe have $50 dollars in this entire setup minus the gauges. Just goes to show you it can be done for cheap!!

Here are some pics... enjoy

Can the pod be pushed in a little further on the bottom? Looks like its sticking out a little. Id move the WB down to the steering column and put a fuel pressure in the overhead.

someone needs to make a triple pillar that isnt stick on . maybe something to consider.

i was curious how he got that textured finish seems like vacuum molded abs . im going to play around molding a triple to a stock pillar and want that finish.

the other ones he had were bad *** too. nicer than whats out there for sure.
