Default New Tire Size.. Will they fit?

My truck currently has just 2" drop shackles and leaf clamps in the rear to sit level with the stock front height. I run a 275/55R20 tire all around which is about a 31.9" tire. I dont have any immediate plans to drop the truck, but may do a 2/4 drop someday. My current tires are getting slick and Im looking at new Hankook RH06's. In 20" they have a 275/55 (31.9"), 285/50 (31.2") and a 295/45 (30.5")...i wouldnt mind the truck sitting a tad lower and a slightly lower profile tire. My questions are this:
1) Which tire would fit the best for my current setup, but still fit if I ever do drop it 2 more inches? Im close to rubbing the plastic inner fender now.
2) I already have traction issues with my bald Bridgestone Dueler's, and I hear the Hankook's will hook alot better. But, would steeping down .7-1.4" in overall tire height hurt my traction by a marginal amount? Or would the increased width (10-20mm) make up for the shorter height?

Thanks guys!

I dont mind trimming/bending the plastic inner fender, but down want to have to trim metal or roll the fender lips or hit the sway bar before turning full lock...

The wider tires will have better grip due to more surface to grip with as long as you dont put too much air in them making them to hard. And the lower tire heigth will give you the room to go down 2 more inches.

I get those two general ideas. My questions are can my truck fit the 295 width? And will the shorter tire spin ALOT more easily?

Take a look at this thread, post number 1659, from 907infamous. His SSS is dropped pretty low(knuckles & keys up front, leaves & shackles out back w/notch). He's running the 295/45's on it, and you can see the pics. No rub. https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...2/#post4777455

His truck is an AWD SSS, not sure how that compares to what you have going on with your truck, but I thought this might help you a little bit.

I am running 265/50/20 tires on my 2011 SWB GMC and I like them. They are NITTO NT 850 tires, which are rated high for highway driving.

I have 285/45/22" on my silverado, 4x4. 2" drop spindles in front 4" drop shackles in rear. I have another Question, will 6 lug trailblazer wheels fit my silverado?

Go with the 295's they will hook better, and you shouldnt have any rubbing issues.

No, they have the wrong bolt pattern.

There was somebody making & offering replica wheels to fit the Silverado/Sierra's, but I can't remember who that was.
