New Truck!!! Pics
Long story short most of you know i have been looking for an EC but trying to sell off my Sierra... well since i cant sell the Sierra w/o losing to much money the way it is i might as well sell it stock with a 5.3. i bought this thing and im gonna swap the driveline between the Sierra and it.... then FINALLY i will be down to one truck
while the motor is out im thinking of doing 243s/799s and downsizing my cam and stall a little, i know it is gonna slow up my times alot but a 4k stall is just not doing it in the snow and id hate to see it in an ec.
i weighed it yesterday and it was just over 5klbs which is 1k more than my Sierra... but take into consideration me and the wife were still in it (330~), the chrome wheels with a set of 265/75/16s (yes they fit on a 2wd lol), the kid i bought it from had 5 50lb bags of rocks in the bed for winter with the bed filled with snow so i couldnt even get them out (250~) and there is also alot of stuff i will be taking out such as the spare, bumper for glass rollpan, bed bars etc. i think i should be able to get it down around 4500lbs no problem.
looks like i got some debadging to go do lol. PS i put my painted door handles no it already

lol funny you ask that... when i was looking i had no intentions of buying another gray truck, i wanted black or silver birch... i knew i did want a 99-02 Silverado though. this truck was from detroit, he was asking $8,500 for it which i blue booked and was almost $2k under blue book... not wanting to spend that much though i offered him $7,500 and he took it... he also met us halfway of a 325 mile drive, i figured i couldnt beat that
like i said its got some cleaning up, the hoods all chipped but luckily before i decided to do this i purchased an HD hood for the Sierra and all the paint for it, so instead of having it all trimmed up the fit my Sierra i can just ahve it painted and thrown on.
