If you're an **** person, I'd vote for you to polish the glass instead. Reason being everytime they replace a windsheild they nick and scratch the paint around the edge. People say the moulding hides this and it does, however a few years of salt under the moulding and in 4-5 years you have rust creeping out from under it. Now your cab looks like **** and that's that. Find a friend who does glass and isn't a hack. At least he can keeps the chips and scrapes to a minimum. Also, when you can, use OE GM glass. It's stronger than PPG or the other aftermarket ones

All good info guys! I keep my comprehensive/deductible pretty high to keep rates low (with 4 trucks its pretty steep), so prob wont go replacement route - I'm too **** and wud have kittens if they messed it up, and I have no doubt they wud...just the way things work with me and trucks
. Its not a case of deep pits, just looks like it needs polishing. I'll work on it over the winter while its stored. R/
