Paint over chrome grill. Does it stick?

This is definitely something I'm considering now. Especially since the color matched grille is like $300. I would have to cut it out anyway for my billet. I my try this during the summer, thanks Dave.

I have also been wondering the same thing as well. I'm guessing any body shop should be able to handle a job like this.

I found a guy here in town who has a take off shell for cheap. I think Ill pick it up and try my chances on the paint.

Gonna have to wait for a while though since its 15 deg here. Damn it

I have been to 4 body shops...... they all say they will not paint a chrome grill.

so you think if it is already been blasted and all the chrome takin off they should be able to paint it?

Deff worth doing wouldnt you say.
this is deff the correct procedure, plasti stick is the key when painting plastic parts. which is probally what he is referring to as adhesion promoter.

I kow a lot of guys the had body shops paint theres but they did all the prep work and only had the shop paint and clear them. This is the better way to go if getting a shop to do it. That way you know all the prep work has ben done.

You can also put a flex additive in the paint to help with the rock chips, but you can't keep them from happening.
