Default Painting billet grill?

Im thinking of painting the billet fins of my grill black. Ive never really liked shinny and the billet grill was the very first mod I did to my truck. I think the shinny doesnt fit with my bumper and front end look. Im going to paint the grill black.. . .

I have Before and After pics so tell me what you guys think:

Here is a current pic of the front end.

Here is a theoretical after pic with the billet fins painted black. This is only a photoshop of the grill, so the real life results may be different.

I like the chrome, if anything it'd probably look good painted the same color as your truck.

I fully plan on body coloring the shell, but that requires more work, time, and money. I can blacken the fins relatively easy and quickly. Were as body coloring the shell requires much more prep work and color matching.

I think the black would look sweet. I had my shell done and I've got a lot of chips from only a month of driving it.

i personally dont like the black look. the chrome ties in better with ur rims and rear view mirrors. if u are goin to color match the shell later on, u may want that touch of chrome in the front... IMO

I say do your grill, shell and mirrors. Then powdercoat your bumper.

When I have a batch of Sunset Orange Metallic mixed everything that is now shiny will be body colored (except the rims ) but that wont be for a bit. Im just thinking of something to do on Sunday.

I like the chrome... but I think the black would look mean espically if you have dark tint and put some tire shine on those tires!

leave it polished imo, I was polishing mine the other day and was thinking the same thing, but I was thinking about taping off the front and painting the insides the same color as my truck. So the front would be polished and the part that is black now would be red. Too much work though. I have a hard enough time keeping it polished.
