Default Painting engine cover

Hey guys, I'm wanting to paint my vortec engine cover the color white. What paint would I use to do this. Can I used the Gloss Plastic spray paint, will that be shiny instead of a dull white color? Any one painted their engine covers on this forum?

Use a basecoat/ Cleatcoat finish. You can find these at a automotive paint supply. Or have a body shop do it. It shouldnt be to expensive. Or you could buy a can of spray paint and arosol clear.

You can use regular spray paint if you want to. I wiped mine down with alcohol, primed it, and painted with some Testors model spray paint that I bought at Walmart. It's a candy-purple metallic. It's been on the engine cover for over a year now with no problems. In the meantime I painted the fuse box and cover and the air intake.
