I say satin too. i would go trial and error on the primer tho..... see which combo or primer and paint can withstand weather and bugs and crap. if u want a flat look like OEM, put 2 or 3 coats of flat clear on to give a lil more protection too

Guess I'll see what kind of paint they have at AutoZone, if they have satin black I'll probably go with that, or semi-gloss...

LOL, they're already to bare metal on top, I see em when I drive and it drives me nuts

i do this about once every year roughly, depending on how bad they look. just recently i did a gloss black. turned out pretty sharp

I say satin black.

I had to do this on my old truck. I just scuffed them with some 320 and laid down the paint.

i always use krylon charcoal grey metallic, its a real real dark grey- it comes out with a nice finish, and its not dull like flat black
