Hey 50chevy when did you get that truck. I had a good friend here in San Marcos that has a truck exactly like that with a straight 6 in it I believe awhile back. He has to sell it because of the gas mileage. I just saw you were from San Antonio so I thought you might have picked it up off him. Very cool truck either way

I bought the truck 5 years ago from the original family that owned it since new. There are a lot of of these truck in red around this area. That is one reason I repainted it blue becuase the first time I painted it five years ago it was red like the rest of them and I just wanted to be different.

For wheels, I am looking at Boyd Coddington: Junk Yard Dog's or Smoothie II's. I like the look the American Racing Torq Thrust II's but I see sooooo many of these trucks have them that I want to be different. I DO NOT want a crazy, modern, bling wheel look though.
SUGGESTIONS ARE WELCOME!
I want to run 17x8 on the front and 17X10 maybe 17X11 on the back with some sticky tires.

I'd go with the Junkyard Dogs.....I really like them and I'd love to put them on my '85 but I'd be copying my buddy's car. Here's what they look like on his car.

Greencountry05, thanks a lot for those pics, I like those wheels more than ever now! Now I just need to set aside some more money in the budget to afford those beauties and some sticky tires. Now I'm just unsure on the best bang-for-the-buck tires on the market.
