On a side note when my buddy had his truck tuned at a perforance shop that specialized in Camaros I believe they told him to put it in third (when at the track) and leave it. I could be wrong though, I'll ask him when I see him again.
I run mine in third down the track. You need to come down to Hubcity with us Sunday and get some runs in. I'm working on getting some local boys to make the trip. We'll have a great time.

Believe it or not I am very consistant.

the other 4 times where because of bad traction issues..

Install is a snap. I just spliced into the ignition hot, a ground coming out of the stock gauge cluster, the dimmer wire to the dimmer wire coming out of the headlight box, and I spliced into the white wire in the stock cluster for the tach function. We had to calibrate it for the motor, but it's a super simple process that just requires cutting two loop wires in back of the tach. Took about 10 seconds to do.
How easy/hard was it to install your gauge pod on the column? Did it fit with ease or was there some extra effort involved?

Looks **** btw!

It just goes right over the steering wheel. Nothing to replace or anything, you just put it over the hazard light and they give you double sided tape, or some little plastic rivets if you want to drill into your steering column. I used the tape and it's staying right where it should! Very easy to do and factory look.

How does it fit on the shifter side with the rubber boot? Lastly, was it a press fit? or did you secure it with the gauge frame bolts?

Sorry for all the questions...
