Well, I bought an LQ9 around the same time I was deciding to buy it and I think that will end up in there soon enough. It had 2 broken pistons, but everything else is clean on it. I'm just going to replace the 2 pistons and assemble the short block. From there I need to decide if I'm going to use L76 heads or LS6 heads. That will depend on how much the woman has spent that month. I have a TB stall waiting to go in it right now and after that I'll probably put a cam in the 5.3L in the interest of seeing what I can get it to run. I'm also considering a roll pan to eliminate the hitch and rear bumper. Between the trailer hitch, rear bumper, spare tire, and jack equipment, that will drop around 150lbs or more off of the 4520 that the truck weighed with me in it. I will lower it some in the future, but I want to wait until I get some of the weight reduction done (like the roll pan and stuff). That's a roughed in of plans for it.

So GT4 is the option code for the 5.3l? I'd be curious to see what the build numbers are for the 2wd ones for 2006-2007. Mine was also the only one on the lot with 2wd and 5.3l
