Default Planing 275/45/20 set of 4. 2/4 drop on a NBS.. thoughts NEEDED...

I'm planing to get rid of my monster tires 32s and get down to a 29" street tire. If anyone has some pics of a similar setups do post up. This should lower my truck a good bit more with these tires as well.

Any input on how this setup will look ride is welcomed. Im going to be picking up a set this weekend, so i can post pics up then.

I have a older pics with a 2/3 drop and 295/45s.

^^^ no bad at all, but the tires looked like bubbles from the side, so thus not going back 295/45 size on a 20x8.5 Rim. just need an all street tire.

Right now, the truck has 305/50s on it, looks good, but to heck with the tractor tires now. After all the mpg I could get. Here is how she sits now. Also this is on the 2/4 drop.

Personally I like a little more side wall to fill those fender gaps. Here is mine on Nitto 420s 265/50/20 with a 2/4 drop, even though yours is a tahoe it will give you an idea of something similar. It's a 30.4" tall tire, I think it would look great on your rig.

thanks to you both. great looking trucks....

IMO this just threw in a wrench.... cause as big of a body my Tahoe is, I dont want the rubberband look as I will be peeling them. I had a set of 285/50/20s in the past, but just seem to be a lil too tall on the sidewall, and lil big as well. The 265/50/20s well IMO it appears to be the perfect 20 made for street trucks. I really like the profile of the sidewall as well. I may spring for those, as I almost picked up the 275/45s today. Luckily I waited.

Im most certain my 4.88s put a hurting to the 30.43" tires (265/50/20s)

With my old 295/45/20s = 30.45" tires, my 3.73s ran these well and they are almost identical diameter as the 265/50s... but Im pretty sure I will not have the balloon look. been as the 265s will fit my 20x8.5 rim properly?? I think I need a x10 for the 295s. Really love them except the bubble sidewall.

tmrw looks like 265/50s well get put on.

I'd consider a 275/55 too, stock 20" tire size. Should look great for what you're wanting

IMO 275/55 is a no no for certain. I dont want stock size, thats why I went with the smaller 285 50s... And those were good on the sidewall but a bit big.

The 265/50s I went with are bigger tire than the 275/45s I were planning. And IMO I really like the 265s so far. Truck is still in the garage, but man it sits low and mean. I dont have many pics, but I can share a few horrible pics for now,

they measure about the same as the 295 45s in the top set of pics I posted. I will get full shots once I get it out the garage.

looks good bgray, and thanks for the pics, surely 275/45 would have been too small for me. could size, if I ever decided to go lower.
