YEs that will help. If it is a full billet wheel, shouldn't be a prob, but cast wheel, you will polish your ballz off, for a pretty good shine that won't last..

they are the oem 17s from a 05 chevy. but i've got a buddy that will strip the clear give them 3 coats of polish and then reclear them for $300 and he does really good work i guess thats going to be my best bet

^ Very good points and well said, although I'd assumed it was just a matter of semantics. Just the word, "polish," is so often misstated and lost in translation that "coats" is the lowest common denominator. Nonetheless - definitely worth asking about the process....good call.

Seems like a deal to me... that's alot of work to get stock, painted, cast aluminum wheels to shine. 3 coats of polish makes no sense though. There is alot of sanding involved. I did it with a GTP I had way back when.
