I think I saw a thread on here where a guy did one on his GMC. I believe you have to cut out the front corners of the hood to give you room for the headlights.

Ok so me having a 2000 sierra, I have a buddy that said we could swap front ends, he has a 2001. So what all needs to be swaped out? Hood, lights, grille, bumper, fenders? Ok with that being said, do you have to have the hd grille, if not what's the difference. Seems to work the same for both setups or am I missing something? Is it just because diff year models? I noticed the diff front bumbers also.

Thanks man, I'm still confused about the bumper though. One has a notch on the top bumper pad and one don't. What's the diff in those, the year model? And how are some people running the hood without the hd grill?

The 2500 has the same front end as 1500 the hd has bigger grille amd a drop on tue vumper cap I ordered all my stuff from ebay for less than 300 grille and cap. Years 01 and 02 2500hd is what to look for you will know the diff when you lookn at them

You only need the notched upper pad if you are running an HD grille. The HD Bumper sits lower to accommodate the HD Grille.

The HD hood fits with a regular grille. Just the upper portion of the hood goes higher.
